Protect Door’s experience in the radiation shielding industry is proven by their long track record of quality manufactured durable lead lined doors. Protect Door lead lined doors are manufactured in two major construction classifications. “Center lead” and our primary method of “Lead under skin”. We use “Chemical Grade C” lead which is produced in accordance to federal specification QQL-201F(2) which has a purity greater than 99.9%. All doors are constructed using whole sheets of lead greater than the size of the door with no voids or seams Our doors are available in a variety of lead thicknesses to meet the shielding requirements of the application in either plastic laminate, domestic and exotic wood veneers, or custom sketch faces and options to meet FSC® and LEED requirements.
